Our Commitment
- To provide you and your family with the best possible primary health care.
- To treat all patients and visitors to the practice with courtesy, respect and dignity at all times.
- To meet your expectations, as far as is reasonable, with respect to appointments and who you wish to see.
- To progress your treatment as efficiently as possible.
- To meet all our responsibilities with respect to confidentiality.
Your Commitment
- To afford us the same courtesy, respect and dignity as you expect from us.
- To advise us if you cannot keep an appointment.
- To think twice before calling for a home visit.
- To use a telephone consultation whenever possible, especially for test results.
- To source basic health information elsewhere rather than take up a doctor’s appointment.
- To request repeat prescriptions in good time.
- To remember doctors are human too and they cannot always solve all your problems.
To contact the practice manager directly with any concern or complaint.
Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the 'classes' of information the practice intends to routinely make available. This scheme is available from reception.
Zero
Tolerance Policy
Patients should be aware of the zero tolerance approach we take to violent or abusive people.
Any patient behaving in a violent or abusive manner towards staff or other patients will be asked to leave the practice and register elsewhere.
Seascale and Bootle Health Practices Charity Fund
This fund is administered by a committee of independent trustees who are not staff of the health centre. Requests to the fund can be made by the practice and directly by residents in the practice area.
Dr Paul Carhart acts as Medical Adviser to the fund trustees.
Donations to the fund are used to buy equipment for the practice or for use in the community. We are very appreciative of all donations which give us the ability to acquire items that help improve the running of the practice and the service offered.
Letters to the fund can be addressed to the Seascale Health Centre and they will be forwarded on your behalf.
