Childhood Immunisations

All children should be fully protected and we aim to make it very easy for parents to attend.

You will normally receive appointments from Child health to attend the surgery on a set date and time.

Full post-natal care is available at the Surgery by appointment. Ante-natal is overseen by the Community Midwife.

Cervical Smears

Most women up to the age of 65 years should have a routine cervical smear.  The first invitation is at 25 years old and then three yearly until 49 years old.  Then it is five yearly until the age of 65.

You will be called for this test as part of the NHS national programme. Please do not ignore the request. If you do not wish to have a cervical smear or are uncertain please come and discuss it with the doctor or nurse.

Medical Examinations

HGV, PSV, Pre-employment etc. Most are not covered by the NHS and a fee will be payable.

Please mention your particular requirement when making the appointment. Completion of insurance certificates and claims etc are non NHS and a fee may be payable according to work involved, please note these services are only available to registered Seascale patients.

Annual reviews

We offer annual review appointments for a variety of long term conditions.

The purpose of an annual review is to ensure patients are taking the right medication and receiving the best possible care, this is done by conducting appropriate tests and checking the patient is taking the correct medication.

  • COPD ( Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
  • Diabetes
  • Vascular Disease ( heart failure, stroke, among others)
  • Learning disabilities
  • Mental Health
