North Cumbria Primary Care (NCPC) is an innovative not for profit social enterprise covering over 100,000 patients in one of the most beautiful areas of the country. We reinvest surpluses locally to improve quality, support our staff and to reduce inequalities. We cover seven practices across 16 sites in North Cumbria on the western edge of the Lake District National Park working in three localities – Carlisle, Copeland, and Workington. We have some exciting opportunities for doctors who share our values.

• Salaried GP Partner – £109,741.00       

Our salaried partners are ‘partners’ in our social movement but with none of the liabilities of running the business or owning buildings. They are key members of our practice leadership teams with additional responsibility for the development, quality, and delivery of our services.

• Salaried GP – £88,000.00

Our salaried GPs work closely with our team of Salaried Partners, ANPs, Practice Nurses, and Pharmacists to deliver care in one of our seven different Practices.

Portfolio Roles

We have a close link to UCLAN medical school and have a small number of senior lectureship roles available. There is potential to combine any of the above roles with study for masters’ level courses including remote and rural medicine and mountain medicine.

Recruitment incentives (paid pro rata)

• Experienced GPs: A £20,000 recruitment bonus for experienced GPs joining us.
• Newly Qualified GPs: A recruitment bonus of £10,000 for GPs joining us together with the national fellowship scheme.
• GP Trainers: A recruitment bonus of £5,000 for established GP trainers in addition to the recruitment bonus
